Time Card Menu Bar

Summary

This document discusses the options available on the timecard menu bar.

Menu Bar

The Menu Bar at the top of the screen allows the manager to browse to other employee information.

1.  Pages

The manager uses the Pages drop-down to browse to other pages of information about the employee, such as employee schedules, accruals (benefits), history, archive time cards, and incidents (Figure 1).

2.  Pay Periods

The manager uses the Pay Periods drop-down to browse to information for different pay periods (Figure 1).

3.  Editing Sheet

The editing sheet displays what Timecard the employee uses for transactions. If an alternate editing sheet has been assigned to an employee, that will be displayed instead of time card (Figure 1).

4.  Adjustments

The Adjustments button allows the manager to view adjustments to the employee’s timecard (Figure 1).

Note:  The supervisor or payroll manager can also delete some adjustments made with a delete icon (Figure 2).

5.  Approve Time Card

Lock time card operation is included in the Approved Time Card operation. Locking a time card allows a manager to secure a time card to prevent employees from editing the time card. Approving a time card allows a supervisor to verify that the information in the time card has been reviewed and the time period is ready to be closed.

6. Print

The manager can also print the time card from a PDF format, by clicking the Print button (Figure 1).

7.  Next and Previous buttons

The manager can also use the Previous and Next Employee arrows to navigate to the previous or next employee in the list (Figure 1).

8.  Employee Selection button

The manager can use the Employee Selection button to manually select the specific employee from the Employee drop-down list (Figure 1).

9. Preferences

Users may modify preferences such as hiding the employee assignment header, showing time card triggers, hiding Workgroup Details, and rendering workgroups vertically, etc (Figure 1).

Note:  Preferences are persistent from user to user. For example, if you are displaying the basic information on an employee’s personal page, if another employee is selected, you would view the basic information of that employee.
