Using Chat with ESSMobile3

Summary

This document addresses work instructions on how to chat using ESSMobile3.

 

Employees can message/chat with their manager with the Leave a Message tile; however, managers will respond using the chat feature.

  1. If users want to initiate the conversation tap the Hamburger Menu button (Figure 1).

  2. From the menu, tap Operations (Figure 2).

  3. Select Leave a Message (Figure 3).

  4. Type in the Subject and the Message. Tap Save and the message will be sent to the supervisor (Figure 4).

  5. When the supervisor responds to an employee message or starts a new conversation, it will ONLY come into Chat indicated by the orange chat bubble in the upper right corner.  Tap to open (Figure 5).

  6. Tap on the message tile to respond (Figure 6).

  7. The employee may respond to the chat string by typing their message and tapping Send Message (Figure 7).

  8. The employee’s message will display in blue (Figure 8).
